Laser Genesis
Reduce Wrinkles, Stimulate Collagen and Calm Redness
By heating the dermis on a deeper level than Photo Genesis, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth. As new collagen builds up, stubborn wrinkles around the mouth, on the cheeks, and around the eyes start to soften. Redness (rosacea) also diminishes as Laser Genesis closes the dilated capillaries responsible for this condition. Laser Genesis can also improve the appearance of scars, including those caused by acne. |

Injectables
BOTOX® Cosmetic*
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an extremely dilute form of botulinum toxin, which, when injected into the muscle, weakens but does not paralyze them. Safe and efficacious, BOTOX® Cosmetic is the number one cosmetic procedure in the United States. Over 2 million treatments were given in 2005. To remove or reduce wrinkles that form between your brows, on your forehead, or around your eyes when you laugh, smile, or frown, BOTOX® Cosmetic can work like magic. One ten minute treatment – a few tiny injections – will relax the muscles that cause those lines to form and keep them relaxed for up to four months. Rather than over-treating your skin with too many injections, our goal is to keep you looking like you…only younger! |
Restylane®
Restylane® is cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal derived hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the human body and provides volume and fullness to the skin. No allergy test is required for administration of Restylane®. The drug is FDA approved for treatment of facial wrinkles. It is also an excellent choice for restoring youthful fullness to the lips. For patient comfort, Restylane® is usually administered following a nerve block or local anesthetic. Some redness and swelling should be expected for 2 days after the procedure. Results last up to 6 months. |
Cosmelan®
Cosmelan is an incredibly safe and effective treatment for actinic keratosis caused by long term sun exposure and natural aging. It also effectively treats disorders characterized by excessive dark pigment production such as melasma (sometimes referred to as “pregnancy mask”). Because Cosmelan blocks the melanin creation process, it is invaluable for people of darker color and is far safer than an IPL treatment for clients with these skin types. Cosmelan is an effective acne treatment as well. The first dose must be administered by a medical professional and is then followed by daily in-home treatments. |
Laser Hair Removal
The Cutera CoolGlide laser is used to remove unwanted hair on skin of ALL colors – even tanned skin! Unlike other lasers, the CoolGlide can treat the fine hair on a woman’s upper lip, as well as the coarse hair on a man ’s back. It is also one of the most comfortable lasers on the market today. Because hair is only affected by the laser during its growth cycle, permanent hair reduction requires multiple treatment sessions. The number of treatments and interval between treatments varies with the specific area of the body and with your individual hair texture. |

Important Information For All Customers Considering Medical Spa Treatments
- All medical spa treatments are performed by a staff of certified physician assistants and registered nurses under the supervision of Dr. Donna Richardson, a physician with over 30 years experience. Dr. Richardson is an Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the BOTOX® Cosmetic Physicians’ Network.
- If you are unsure which medical spa treatments would be appropriate for you, consultations with a medical spa staff member are available. Please contact us at (858) 450-9191 to schedule a consultation. Consultations are provided at no cost to you; however, a credit card is needed to reserve all appointments. Please understand that the time we set aside for a consultation appointment is valuable. If you need to reschedule or cancel a consultation, you must contact us at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, a late cancellation fee will apply.
- If you are already familiar with the medical spa services offered by Dr. Richardson and her staff, and you’d like to go ahead and schedule a treatment, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule and offer the best days and times that work for you. Once your appointment is scheduled, please be advised that the equipment, supplies and medical personnel necessary to perform your treatment are reserved. Therefore, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule your appointment; otherwise, a late cancellation fee will apply.
