What steps occur during waxing?
The area to be waxed is exposed, cleaned with an antiseptic, then dusted with a light powder. A warm wax is applied to the area. A strip of pellon cloth is pressed firmly to the wax and briskly removed, taking the wax and the hair with it. A gentle oil removes any remaining bits of wax and soothes the skin. For sensitive areas such as the face and bikini, a rapidly-hardening, non-strip wax that is removed by hand rather than a pellon strip may be used. You and your esthetician will decide what is best for you.
